The drug trafficker Rafael Caro Quintero arrived in New York after being extradited from Mexico, following his arrest in July 2022 by elements of the Navy Secretariat (Semar) in Sinaloa, after nearly 10 years of having gained his freedom in August 2013.
In a video circulating on social media, the moment is observed when he descends from a Mexican Air Force plane, while on the ground he is awaited by at least 15 people wearing DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) jackets. Caro Quintero remains handcuffed, and one person helps him down from the plane, while another appears to be behind him; both seem to be U.S. agents, while a military personnel remains at the door of the plane.
